Happy Friday everybody!

We’ve almost made it through another week, lets end it on a strong note. I’m talking about one of my new found passions today, fitness! I love going into the weekend knowing I had a really good, tough workout on Friday. In all honesty, it really just means more tacos/chips and salsa on Saturday! (Mexican food is probably my favorite food in the entire world.)

First, I have to tell you guys about my favorite stuff to wear to the gym recently. When I ordered these leggings, I probably should have just ordered 5 pairs so I could wear them every day. They’re from Red Dress Boutique, which is one of my favorite stores out there! Seriously, I’ve followed them since they first started and all of their clothes are so cute and affordable. They’re also great for shorter people like me (I’m 5’2) because the struggle to find shorter leggings out there is real. I bought my sweatshirt from Nordstrom; it’s Topshop and they don’t have this exact one anymore, but I’ll link a similar one. Cropped hoodies just make your gym outfit look that much cuter! Shoes are Nike Free Flyknits and they’re the best running shoes I’ve had. Finally, my sports bra is from Target. They have some great and affordable activewear options!

Fitness and health has become one of my priorities over the past two and half years, as I’ve realized it helps me feel comfortable in my own skin. I think the biggest advice I can give on this topic is don’t think about being on a “diet.” The term diet implies that it’s something temporary. In order to get real results and make it to where you don’t just gain the weight back, you have to make lifestyle changes. For me, that meant changing up my eating habits and working out more consistently. Brandon and I eat healthy and workout every day of the week so that the weekends are more relaxed in regards to food and working out. If we feel like going to work out on Saturday or Sunday we do, but if we feel like going out to dinner and getting a blizzard from DQ, we do that too! It really is all about finding the right balance for you and your body. If you’re wanting to lose weight, stay positive, don’t get discouraged, and keep doing it for YOU!
